Formed in 1984, at the height of hair metal, Soundgarden signed to A&amp;M in 1988, releasing their debut&nbsp;<\/span><em style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">Louder Than Love<\/em><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">&nbsp;that same year.
